First of all, let’s get this straight. This blog is not about how to live like a spoiled ding-a-ling with a closet full of Prada purses. If you’re a true Asian American princess, you spend a lot more time at school or work than at the mall (unless of course, you own the damn mall). You’re frugal and intelligent, because your immigrant parents were cheap and made you study really hard even during your summer “vacations.” Armed with multiple degrees from top universities, you are now a princess because it’s payback time, Baby.
Some facts about me:
- My name is Soyon. It is pronounced Soy-on.
- When I’m tired, I tell people I’m Soy-off.
- I am a Korean American princess.
- I do not like designer purses covered with logos. They are tacky.

I found your blog through AMR. Funny, entertaining and quite refreshing to say the least. I say refreshing because you present a candid Asian-American point-of-view without trying to sugarcoat anything. Most of all, even with all your trials and tribulations growing up as an AA, it seems that you embrace your heritage and community which I salute.
